Dietetics Package: Structured 12-Week Care
For clients navigating complex or chronic presentations (including disordered eating, IBS, PCOS, cardiovascular or metabolic conditions), structured 12-week care blocks are available.
This model provides consistent support, improved continuity, and better outcomes compared to sporadic appointments. Sessions remain individually claimable under CDM or EDMP plans where eligible.

Online appointments require full payment at the time of booking. For in-person consultations, payment is expected before or on the day of consultation. See below for payment & rebate options.
Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing operates part time, therefore to make it fair for our clients, 24 hours notice is required for cancellations, or a fee 50% of the appointment costs will be issued. For non-attendance without notification, a fee equal to the appointment costs will be issued.
* Acute herbal Prescribing is for single symptom, acute concerns only. For example, sore throat, cold/flu, preventative immune support, recent onset sleep problems, or acute stress. Due to the short nature of these appointments, detailed treatment plans are not provided.

In person (face-to-face) consultation rebates include:
- Medicare - Your GP might refer you to Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral or an Eating Disorder Management Plan (EDMP) referral. An amount of $61.80 will be covered by Medicare, with the remaining being an out of pocket fee paid by you. How this works is you would pay the full consultation fee, and be provided a receipt to claim your rebate back from Medicare. The out of pocket fee is therefore $158.20 for a 60 min initial assessment or $143.20 for a 60 min review consultation, and $53.20 for a 30 minute review consultation.
- Private Health Funds - If you have Private Health Insurance, all or some of your appointment may be covered by your Private Health Fund. The extent of the cover will depend on your specific level of cover. Please check with your Private Health Fund to find out exact rebate amounts you can claim.
- Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) - DVA Health Cards (Gold) are accepted as full payment with a referral from your Doctor.
- Full Cost - If you are coming to the Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing Clinic, with nil options of those listed above (i.e. no EPC, EDMP, Private Health Fund Cover or DVA) then the full fee will be incurred for the service you are requiring.
TeleHealth - Virtual/Online and telephone rebates include:
- Medicare - Your GP might refer you to Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) referral or an Eating Disorder Management Plan (EDMP) referral. Currently with changes due to COVID-19, virtual consultations are treated exactly the same as in-person consultations, i.e. you can receive a Medicare rebate if you hold an EPC or EDMP. An amount of $61.80 will be covered by Medicare, with the remaining being an out of pocket fee paid by you. How this works is you would pay the full consultation fee, and be provided a receipt to claim your rebate from Medicare. We are awaiting some announcements from the Government regarding TeleHealth and DVA and this webpage will be updated as soon as this information is released.
- Private Health Funds - Some Private Health Funds provide cover for Virtual/Online consultations. Some of these include Bupa, Navy, Medibank, Defence Health, and on a case by case basis include CBHS, NIB, Suncorp, Qantas, APIA, AAMI. Please contact your Private Health Fund to see if you are eligible for some level of cover.
