For as long as I can remember, I have loved to move. Originally a yoga instructor, my teaching style has evolved over the last 17 years. Having trained in multiple schools of yoga, I complement yoga asana with
strength training, eastern energetics, mindfulness, mobility, biomechanics, and body acceptance.
My clients practice with me to improve back pain, fatigue, mental clarity, anxiety, depression, or simply to remember what it is to enjoy movement again. Most of all, they wish to move in a way that respects their body rather than fights against it.
My aim is to build your body up, rather than break your body down.
I have a background in strength training, martial arts, dance, acrobatics, and endurance sports (mountain biking, half Ironman and off-road triathlon). As an ASCA certified Strength & Conditioning Coach I love to help people feel strong and capable in their bodies. I am also a Provisional Sports Dietitian and can help you learn to fuel your amazing body for performance and enjoyment!

Private YogaWithin your 1:1 yoga session Casey will playfully fuse modern yoga with biomechanics, myofascial release, strength training, & eastern medicine according to your needs. Sessions honour your relationship with your body and the archetypal forces of nature. Casey has 17 yrs experience teaching yoga and believes yoga is for EVERY body. She is a hybridiser, trained in multiple forms including vinyasa, Iyengar, Zenthai Flow, AcroYoga®, slow flow, yin, restorative, pregnancy, postpartum and fertility yoga. All equipment provided.

Personal trainingA tailored 1-on-1 training session focusing on strength, fitness conditioning, functional movement, mobility, and myofascial release. Casey creates a body-inclusive atmosphere where you can feel good about and within your body, no matter your ability level. Sessions are crafted in the spirit of creativity, play, versatility, exploration, and therapeutic human contact. Casey draws from 20+ years of experience and teaching certification in multiple forms of yoga, acrobatics, weightlifting, mixed martial arts, dance & bodywork. All equipment provided.

I want to share an amazing discovery - it’s the most fantastic thing I’ve done in my life. I had tried this before some years ago, but the teacher, well perhaps she was past caring and a little too “by the book”, no deviations. Through friends I discovered Casey her Funky Forest and her Yoga Classes.
Whilst I am grateful to my friends for convincing me to give it a go - I am absolutely indebted to Casey for saving me from the decades of pain and discomfort I’ve suffered with my back. I started on this path with her, full of dubious “yeah right” thoughts and a certain degree of cynicism, okay a tonne of cynicism, however, each class has gotten a little easier; each class I’ll been a little more flexible; each class I’ve learned a little more from my body.
Most importantly every class is delivered by Casey with care and compassion and genuine concern for those she is teaching. Yoga poses are taught with a myriad of options - a little more of this is you feel stronger, a little of that if you’re not so confident and never, ever, a rigid “you must do it this way” attitude that put me off Yoga in the past.
Casey took the time to talk to me before my first class to ask “do you have any issues I should know about” and then she listened to me, she actually really listened to what I told her and absorbed it and held that information in her head and her heart and has done so ever since that first class. She remembers that my back has ongoing “structural” issues, she remembers that I sit at a deck all day long and my shoulders are stiff and tight, she took the time to get to know me and what ails me and to help me get past it.
Since starting Yoga with Casey I’ve gone from being unable to get my butt off the floor at the end of the class without yelping from the pain in my back….now I’m soundlessly coming out of Shavasana. I am getting stronger and more supple with each class. I can get out of bed in the morning and not creak and crunch my way through the day. I feel so much calmer, so much more in touch with myself after her classes. I might whinge about the odd sore muscle after a class where I’ve pushed myself a little more than usual - but its a good sore, not an injured sore.
If you have ever thought of trying Yoga, I cannot recommend Casey highly enough. I am so very grateful to have her in my life - you will be too.
