Naturopath

Naturopathy is based on the philosophy that disease can be prevented by supporting the body's innate ability to heal itself.

Naturopathy is a branch of complementary and alternative medicine that utilises a wide array of natural remedies and techniques to restore and maintain health in a way that encourages and supports the body’s own innate ability to heal itself. Naturopathic medicine aims to identify and treat the cause of imbalance within the body. It not only addresses physical ailments, but also encompasses the mental, emotional, spiritual and environmental aspects of an individual's wellbeing.

Naturopathic treatments include the use of herbal, nutritional and energetic medicine, along with comprehensive dietary and lifestyle advice. Some of the issues Casey has experience in treating are:

  • Allergies & asthma
  • Auto-immune conditions (e.g. Crohn's disease, RA)
  • Women's health (PCOS, HA, endometriosis, menopause)
  • Baby's & children’s health
  • Cardio-metabolic conditions (e.g. atherosclerosis, diabetes, gout)
  • Common colds and viruses
  • Digestive health (e.g. IBS, IBD, SIBO, reflux, diverticulitis)
  • Eating disorders and disordered eating
  • Injury rehabilitation (nutritional and herbal support)
  • Mental health (stress management, anxiety, depression, PTSD)
  • Insomnia
  • Men's health (e.g. infertility, BPH)
  • Trans folks' health (e.g. HT support)
  • Pain management
  • Skin conditions (e.g. acne, eczema, psoriasis)
  • Supportive therapy for cancer

At Funky Forest Health & Wellbeing, each person is treated as an individual, with the belief that no two people or two conditions are the same. You can be sure each treatment plan is tailored specifically for you. We view the body as an integrated whole thus the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects are all integrated into our treatment approach.
