So many of my clients find it challenging to come up with healthy snack ideas. "Main meals are easy enough, but what about snacks?"
Raw vegetables are the most ideal snack. They are anti-oxidant rich and water containing, and will leave you feeling refreshed and nourished rather than temporarily stimulated and unsatisfied.
Energy bars and drinks, biscuits, donuts, empty calorie crackers, soy chips and other packaged snack foods are nutrient poor and cause inflammation and oxidative stress in the body. So if/when the 3pm snack monster hits, give these energising snacks a go. Energy-zapping chips and muffins will be a thing of the past!
