Classes will cover partner stretching, partner balancing, therapeutic flying, acrobatic flying and Thai massage techniques that start from the basics and work you up to high level acrobatics. Scroll down for detailed class descriptions.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes, nothing too loose and flowing that could get caught in others' or your toes or fingers. Think regular yoga or dance class! 

Can't make it to class? 
Subscribe to our mailing list to be the first to find out about new classes or contact us to arrange a private session. Private classes are $80 to $100 for an hour, depending on numbers.

Workshop descriptions

AcroYoga FUNdamental LEVEL

This is an All Levels AcroYoga class for fun, fitness and connection! Linear progressions and an emphasis on the art of spotting make learning acrobatics safe, accessible, and fun. Confidence and coordination are developed in strength training and inversions, which pave the way for ease and grace in partner acrobatics and acrobatic flying transitions. New yogis will discover an exciting and fun way to explore your yoga practice.  Experienced acroyogis will learn new calibrations and fresh Acrobatic Flying Flows to juice up your practice! Open to all.

AcroYoga Intermediate LEVEL

Dive deeper into the practice of AcroYoga! Yogis will integrate principles for how to break flying transitions down so that any flow is attainable. Expand your AcroYoga tool kit with washing machines, exciting multi-person pyramids and monsters! Further sharpen your inversions practice with tangible take home tools for yourself and your partners/students. Pre-reqs: handstand at the wall, free headstand, front bird to shoulderstand.

MIXED Levels classes combine FUNdamentals and Intermediate classes.

Community AcroYoga Class Series

In these introductory level classes you will be guided through the foundations of the practice, in a safe and supportive environment. Perfect for beginners! A great opportunity for more advanced AcroYogis to get back to basics, refine technique, and build our local AcroYoga community. No experience or partner needed, just a sense of adventure!

AcroYoga Therapeutics "Thai + Fly" 

This course focuses on the healing, relaxing and rejuvenating practices of Thai massage and therapeutic flying. Lunar asana prepares us for anti-gravitational release through Therapeutic Flying, and Thai massage invites us to bliss out and deepen our connection to others. Everyone gets the opportunity to base and fly, heal and be healed. Held on a Friday evening, this class is the perfect way to wind down the week. This course offers invaluable tools for yoga teachers, massage therapists, and energy workers who wish to develop a new dimension of healing touch for students or clients.

What is AcroYoga?

AcroYoga blends the wisdom of yoga, the dynamic power of acrobatics, and the loving kindness of healing arts. These three lineages form the foundation of a practice that cultivates trust, playfulness, and community.

Our AcroYoga classes are a perfect smorgasbord of AcroYoga & will provide options for all levels of experience. From absolute beginner to intermediate, you will be guided through the foundations of the practice, in a safe and supportive environment.

AcroYoga has 3 main elements:

  • Solar Acrobatic Practices that cultivate trust, empowerment and joy. The solar elements are strength building, inversions with spotting, and partner acrobatics
  • Lunar Healing Arts Practices that cultivate listening, loving and letting go. The Lunar Therapeutic Practice includes massage, therapeutic flying and partner yoga
  • Yogic Practices that cultivate breathe awareness, life balance and connection. Yoga is the glue between the Solar and the Lunar Practices. It is a Physical Practice as well as a life philosophy that is honed through postures, breathing exercises, mantras, etc.

As you journey through the different elements of AcroYoga, you will be empowered, (and perhaps surprised) by your own strength. Through fun and playfulness, we explore a deeper trust in yourself and partnerships. AcroYoga is a great way to build teams in the workforce, sporting or family & friends.

Come along to any one of our classes, or secure your spot and book a course. No partner is necessary as in some cases for ease of learning, you will be matched with someone of similar height.

Commonly Asked Questions


Q:
What should I wear?

A:
You should wear comfortable clothing which does not reveal too much anatomy when you go upside down or bend over. Also avoid wearing any jewellery that can get tangled, cut skin, or get caught in the base's feet or hands. Avoid wearing heavy perfumes.


Q: Do I need to come with a partner?

A;
You can come with a partner if you feel more comfortable working with a familiar person. But in most classes people find a partner and change partners numerous times. It is good to change partners because it helps us develop tools to adjust to a new environment. When we return to familiar terrain with our regular partner there is a greater appreciation and respect for that partnership and also new insights gained from working with an unfamiliar body.


Q: I booked into a 4-week course and have come to the first 1 or 2 of the four sessions. What if I can't make it to the rest?

A: The $60 is a discounted rate for those who can commit to and complete the whole course, otherwise it's casual drop in rate of $20 per class. This makes it easier for us logistically, and to know and plan for class numbers to optimise safety and design a suitable class plan. It also ensures steady progression as students advance each week as they build on previously learnt skills.

If you cannot make all four of your pre-booked classes, we are happy to credit the reminder of your classes on a casual basis, e.g. if you've paid $60 for a 4-week course and attended one of the four classes
, then can't attend the rest for any reason - the first class is counted as a casual $20 leaving you with $40 credit remaining to use on two more casual classes.


If you have attended two of the four classes, these first two classes are counted as two casual classes at $20 each ($40 total) leaving you with$20 credit remaining to use on one more casual class.



Q: I booked into a 4-week course but could not attend any of it. Can I get a refund?

A: We give class credit and course credit for any course you paid for but were not able to attend at all.
If you purchased a 4-week course but could not attend it, you can contact Casey at [email protected] and arrange to use your credit for a future 4 week course, with no extra charge. Alternatively, you can use the $60 as credit for three casual Acroyoga classes at $20 each and attend three AcroYoga classes at any time you like. Only in cases of medical emergency or family crisis we can refund your payment. 


Your teacher

Casey is a Certified AcroYoga teacher as well as a 350-hour certified Level 2 yoga teacher. She has been teaching yoga and experimenting with circus and flow arts for 9 years. She currently teaches on the Gold Coast, QLD and runs classes and workshops in Miami and a multitude of settings throughout the region.

As an allied health professional (accredited dietitian and future naturopath), Casey  deeply understands the inner workings of the body. Having also completed trainings in Kahuna-style temple massage and Thai massage, Casey understands that no two bodies are alike + every-body deserves a personalised approach.

  • 1 on 1 Private Yoga or small group sessions (1-2 people $60 per hour; 3-4 people $80 per hour)
  • 1 hour private AcroYoga Instruction (up to 4 people) $80 per hour

We are flexible with days and times and ensure that you will feel calm + confident after a session!
