Reducing stress in the workplace means your employees are happier overall - Decreased illness and absenteeism
The stretching and strengthening aspects of yoga are beneficial for preventing and alleviating back pain and other recurring problems. - Reduced workers compensation claims
Stress-related Work Cover claims account for almost 30% of all Work Cover claims and are about twice as expensive as other claims. - Better inter-staff relations
When people are less stressed at work, relationships improve leading to cooperative, more cohesive teams. - Improved customer service
When staff are less stressed they are more pleasant to your customers and provide better service. - Higher productivity
People think less clearly when they’re over-stressed, means that putting in place effective stress management strategies such as yoga at work will increase productivity. - Better work/life balance & staff retention Yoga releases tension in the physical body by opening tight, clenched muscles and improves blood flow to the brain. Priorities become clear, anxiety is reduced and the mind is calmer, more focused and compassionate, leading to happier staff and in the long run, greater staff retention.
A study in The Journal of Physical Activity and Health found that 20 minutes of Hatha yoga stimulates brain function more than walking or jogging on the treadmill for the same amount of time.
